If The Shoe Fits

I'm on my feet at work all day and finding a chic yet comfortable work shoe is a major challenge.

Here are four options I'm considering for fall:

1. The Loafer.

I love the patent loafer - it would look great with tights and a skirt or ankle pants.

2. Mens Inspired Pump

Wearing these you would often hear "where did you get those shoes?!". I adore the color combination!

3. The Bootie

I'm so thrilled the lace up bootie is still in style. This neutral pair would go with everything!

4. The Black Pump

A tortoise heel and a grosgrain bow? Kate Spade can we get married. PERFECTION!

What's your go-to work shoe?

Fall Picks

Can you believe it's already August? That means the September Issue should hit mailboxes soon!

I love how fashion evolves every season.

Here are a few of my top picks for Fall.

1. Bright pumps in a classic shape.

Dining Room Dreams

So far we have four chairs and a table (which just came in) for our dining room.

Mr. H is being a dear and letting me take 99% creative control. I'm very inspired by the Hollywood Regency Period.

A mirrored buffet would be idea. White might go with our brown walls and current furniture . . .

I'm on the hunt for arm chairs for the head of the table. I think I need to go to a flea market to find the perfect pair! I would love to upholster them with a pop of color. Hot pink or Tiffany's Blue?

I'm Reading, I'm Loving, I'm Craving

 I'm Reading . . .

New York: A Novel by Edward Rutherfurd.

I've only just started and with over 900 pages I have a ways to go. I'm intrigued to read historical fiction about NYC from it's start all the way to thru the 21st Century.

I'm Loving . . .

Zumba.

Have you ever tried it? I never new a work out could be so much fun! It's like being at a dance club with your girlfriends.

I'm Craving . . .

A little something sweet.

Sometimes you just have to give in to a cupcake.

What will you do today?

Have you ever not tried something because you thought you might fail? It's so easy to get caught up in our own head. Frozen from fear. Staying in the same routine.

By not trying new things or pushing our limits are we really living up to our full potential?

What are you bringing to the world? How are you going to become a richer and more fulfilled individual?

I am going to start a vegetable and herb garden.

To you it may sound simple but to me it's overwhelming. I am the girl who killed a cactus. Literally, it shriveled up and died. Today I will tell myself I am the girl who has a fabulous new house with a little garden plot in back begging to be seeded. Today I will reach outside of my comfort zone and sail uncharted Mrs. H territories by stepping foot in Lowes. Today I have a green thumb.
